Computationally designed glassware collection, Siryali Studios – 2020
Glaci is created with algorithmic methods, based on cosine and parabolic curve equations. The entire collection is designed by alterations of a single mathematical equation. The script and form are created by Siryali using grasshopper.
Glassi is Iraqi Arabic for my glass. It reflects on a Middle Eastern trait to collect Bohemian Crystal glassware by Czech artisans. The collections are seldom used, and so becomes a visual sculptural object.
